Definition of Terms and Rules
  • Individuals are defined as persons from the public, going to school; a group from a school; or scout group.
  • Company is defined as a group working for one company on a company project.
  • Prices are quoted on a per day basis.
  • + Additional to the Daily Fee
  • The day is from 8am to 5pm.
  • Overnight is from 6pm to 8am.
  • A weekday is Monday through Friday. We can only launch up to 18,000 feet these days.
  • Weekend days are Saturday, Sunday, and Federal Holidays. We can launch up to 250,000 feet these days.
  • Any day at FAR, launches can be interrupted or cancelled by the military with almost no advanced notice.
  • Any day at FAR, launches can be interrupted or cancelled by bad-weather, such as, low-clouds, low-visibility, rain, or high-winds.
  • Static stands and launchers are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Reservation for any day must be made at least seven business in advance.
  • There are no back up days, reserve the day you need and be ready to launch on your reserved day.
  • Very small startup companies may get individual pricing.
  • FAR-Days
    • Saturdays
      • 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.
      • Limited to individuals only.
      • Group size is limited to 25 people.
      • FAR Site is limited to 200 people in total.
    • Sundays
      • The Sunday that immediately follows a FAR Saturday.
      • Available only when a FAR Saturday is fully booked.
      • FAR management must announce its availability.
      • Individuals and Companies are allowed.
      • Group size is limited to 20 people.
      • FAR Site is limited to 100 people in total.
  • Non-Exclusive, Off-FAR-Days
    • Group size is limited to 100 people.
    • FAR Site is limited to 200 people in total.
  • Exclusive, Off-FAR-Days
    • No one can have a FAR Day, Saturday or Sunday, as exclusive.
    • No one can have both Off FAR Day, Saturday and Sunday as exclusive.
    • No one can have more than two days of a week as exclusive.
    • You cannot have an exclusive day when someone else already has a reservation for that day.
    • If you reserve an exclusive day, you pay no matter what.
    • Group size is limited to 200 people.
    • FAR Site is limited to 200 people in total.
  • Reservation Fees
    • Will be lost if you cancel or change dates less than 7 business days before your reserved day.
    • Can be refunded or credited to another reservation
      • If you cancel or reschedule at least seven business days in advance.
      • If you are cancelled due to bad weather or by the military.

Check the FAR calendar to see if a FAR Sunday has been declared before you select FAR Sunday.
Is this Multiple Days?(Required)
If you plan to arrive at noon or morning the day before or depart noon or evening the day after your single day, please select multiple days.
How many people will be in your group? Please limit your group size to 25 people for FAR 1st and 3rd Saturdays. Please limit your group size to 20 people for FAR 1st and 3rd Sundays. For groups than have already signed up with more than 25 people, we will let you know if you can bring the extra people when we get closer to the date. Please include in your count: team members, family, friends, advisors, and media. Basically, anyone that is coming to FAR Site to watch your static firing or launch.

Exclusive Use
Do you want to have exclusive use of the FAR Site while you are there? If someone else is already signed up for that day or that day is a FAR Day, exclusive use will not be allowed. It will cost $1,500 per day for individuals and $2,000 per day for companies for weekdays and $2,000 per day for individuals and $3,500 per day for companies on weekends. You are limited to one day of exclusive on the weekend and two days of exclusive for the whole week. Hint: Please don’t do exclusive.
Overnight Stay
Are you going to camp/stay overnight either the night before or the night of your single day or camping any night of your multiple days? Camping is available with tents, trailers, or recreational vehicles in authorized locations only. Access to FAR buildings is not available for camping. A limited number of RVs can camp in authorized locations only, but we DO NOT HAVE concrete or black top parking, water or electrical hookups, or grey or black water dump stations.

Do you need a map to FAR Site?
Forklift
Do you need the forklift to load/unload/move/lift items when you are at FAR Site? The forklift is not to be used to lift people.
Drone
Do you want to fly a drone? Warning: Drones will not be allowed to fly within 20-feet of a crowd or over a crowd of people. Your drone will be confiscated, if you do so. Ask the pyrotechnic operator for permission to fly before you start flying your drone.
Quonset Hut
Do you want to use the Quonset Hut? You may be required to share the Quonset hut with other groups. Cooking inside the Quonset hut is not allowed.
Campfire
Do you want to have a campfire while you are at FAR Site overnight? Campfires will not be allowed near the fence line or during high winds. Ask the pyrotechnic operator before starting a campfire. If the pyrotechnic operator is asleep or unavailable, do not start a campfire.
